Fred Meyer Founder’s Days 2018

Every year Fred Meyer, Kroger’s Pacific Northwest division, celebrates its founder (Fred Meyer) with a week of the lowest prices of the season. Traditionally, the Founder’s Days ad features history lessons about the founder or words of wisdom from the founder himself, but over the years the space of the print ad devoted to this material has been shrinking. In 2018 I came up with the concept of “Freditorials” to make bite-sized versions of Fred Meyer history and wisdom, keeping the tradition alive at the bottom of each page of the ad.
